Ye. Yeah. Welcome. Welcome. It's your host. Raimundo you tune into the Raimundo show. We got another one for you. This is episode the world cup. It's all about goal. Yeah, man. I'm happy. Y'all are here with me. I feel like a Chick-fil-A employee. I'm just delighted. Yo. They make it really seem like they love what they do, I always try to find Different titles for the episodes. Then when I think about goals, but I think about I'm like the world fucking cup. So you know, you're going to hit him from time to time. It's Ben moon does quote of the day Yeah, so this one just went perfect with the episode, the trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never fit and never school. by bill Copeland. Yeah. I feel like I always get mad serious when I'm saying the name is shit. I got like, my personality is out the window and I'm like, ah, bill Copeland. So what I noticed really the first time in my life where I really. Being on top of my goals I noticed having structured to them, writing them down, all these different things, it just made it more real. You think about a lot of things and you say a lot of things, sometimes you're all over the place. especially for me, I didn't take my goals serious enough. and I feel like it comes from like school and whenever or anything. Right. Whenever something is legit there's flyers or in school, like in school, there's homework, there's projects, dates like there's deadlines. And, you add deadlines to your goals. It's almost like, you being your own teacher you holding yourself accountable. It's a way to hold yourself accountable. I think it's a beautiful thing, man. But and adult thing is too. You get to see how different you were when you started the whole process, like you get to see the growth. yeah, man went off on the quote. There's long-term in the short term you're for some reason short term, like, I can't say short term. Yeah. Okay. There's long-term and there's short term. I like to think that they go hand in hand, you want to make sure your short term goals feed the long-time goals. Right? So like right now, my goal is to be a millionaire by 40. So that means everything I do going forward short term short term is going to feed that dream. Like what I did with the podcast, I feel like yo, as long as I got from a to Z with if I was happy with it or not, we just gave it my best. I feel like I was happy with the process, but look, I'm like at the end of the day, I'm a podcast. I have a season out I'm currently doing my second one and I'm currently working on other things to keep it going because. I'm under construction. I woke up. All of it is to live my purpose, face my fears So JZ just wanted to put out an album originally and that Memphis Bleek take over and he kind of wanted to be behind the scenes, what I want to do. I kind of just, I want to be the example put everybody on and then fall back a little bit and just help everybody grow. Like I was like, I was never helped. Like currently I'm helping a couple of people start their podcast and. I remember, you know what I always say? I wish I had me when I was going through learning everything. Oh man. But yeah, man, you need, I feel like in those, all those goals got to equal and it got an equal the cherry on top, and like, just know yo from a to. F to fucking L is gonna be, ups and downs, but I promise you, you're gonna thank yourself later. Like future self, like yo right now. I know my future self is just like, my past self is like, yo, dang, God, you got outta this shit. My future self is like, yo, wait till you get head old boy, yo you know what I'm saying? Yeah. But I'm looking forward to a man, but yeah, to get to the short term it kind of breaks it down to you. Don't get to be overwhelmed. You kind of get to tackle something, a step at a time. And then when it gets to the big goal just it's like, I feel like that's when everything comes together, like that's the when they put the rings together and captain planet shows up and in a suit in green and green hat, or when the power energies to come out and combine their dinosaurs or any combination, just it, just, everything just. Comes to government and shit then before, and then, what's crazy. You get what you, then what you realize, yo, you just made a recipe that somebody could follow and things like that you find in the process, you don't find it that the at the finish line, like it's when the training starts. When you run into the goal, when you have, when you catching cramps like Diddy, but you still gotta finish. Cause you did a lot of promotion for this shit. You can't let the city down, but you gotta be the same way. You can't let your city down. Don't let yourself down. And I know how it is sometimes you're going to fuck up on the goals. Sometimes you're going to miss goals. The important thing is to dust it off dust yourself off and try again. I'm telling you it'll be worth it. And then, like I said, you'll be stronger. Like what goals really do is just, they give you structure a destination and added motivation. Cause you're not always gonna feel like doing it. But knowing that you task yourself with this and you're willing to get it done. That's when that self-discipline comes into play which is definitely something you definitely gotta work on to To stay on top of your goals. Self discipline is that shit is a whole other episode by itself because so many people have problems with, with that. Yeah, that's like one of the determining factors of self-discipline like to be able to master what you get done and what you do, where the godless, how you feel. That's where you want to be, man. Like, and I'm telling you adding goals can help you develop that self discipline because you don't want to let yourself down. I said, I know this is not the only way, but I'm telling you look up the grades. Napoleon Hill, the research on for 25 years, his whole life pretty much was researched and successful men and women, but Think and grow rich was based off his research for 25 years, just sitting with rich folk, listening to them, how they move and it takes place back in the day. But a lot of things still be used today. A lot of information in these books are timeless, man, like reading. I feel like reading could add years to your wisdom and knowledge. Like you're living it through someone else's eyes and experiencing it, you're internalizing it the way you see fit to help you with your life. Especially, books like that. Of course I'm not talking about, I don't go pay you. I don't expect you to compare yourself to a fiction story. But you know, the ones that remind you that you need to get things done, like damn when, like, when I see the making of shit. I see, like I just finished watching star Wars season two, and I didn't realize that John Farrow, his first chance at being a director was at the elf. It was doing the movie, the elf, and look where he's at now. He's like a top 10 grossing director. Like I love seeing shit like that. And I guarantee T U he had goals. Yeah, man. But it's been a great first half, man. I hope you had. A good time with the smooth sounds of Raimundo we're doing a little different issue, this this season. It's the holidays, we chilling out it's the 22nd that we still haven't pulled Christmas gifts. Put us Oh, good baby. Regardless, man. Midwife. You'll get it done. We really like the dream team. we're the legal Bonnie and Clyde more like I said Bonnie and Clyde, like Ben and Jen. Nah, man. But we'll be back after this break. Welcome back like that long lost relative that you thought was missing, but he was just locked up. They boom. the world cup and we talking about goals. And as far as goals you gotta have a reason to want to get there. Of course I've been through this. You always gotta find your why when you're going to do some shit, but you gotta give yourself. Something to look forward to when you get there, where it's like you treat yourself and I'm a big believer in don't cheat yourself, treat yourself. Just don't take that. Don't take that too far back, but you got to set up some type of a reward system. Cause I'm telling you, there's going to be times you don't want to do it, but then you do it and then you'll feel happy. But having a reward system that you treat yourself to, First of all it shows like it does wonders for your brain man. it combats instant gratification a little bit. Right. Where if you just focus, if you only reward yourself with the long term goals shit. I don't see that being a smooth ride. It's not going to be a smooth ride, but you don't want to make it bumpy, then it's going to be so giving yourself a reward for short term goals. It's the wave, no surf board. And let me tell you what I mean. my goal. for Season one. was Be a podcast And I have all these things in between. And at the end was go to the Poconos. I gave myself a couple of options, things that I like to do, right. So I was, I go to the Poconos with my lady and, chilling the champagne. What is it? The champagne bubble bath glass. I remember, I always wanted to do that. So I added that and to be there, like I went the day that I dropped my first episode, I was in the Poconos, I was in the Poconos, just relaxing, having a good time. Like enjoying the fruits of my labor. Like I, put something together and now I'm a water myself for it. The backup goal in case I couldn't couldn't didn't have the funds to get. There was just stay home, Netflix video games, all the shit like the dude. Guilt-free cause I'm beyond that. I love playing video games. I love watching movies and TV, but after I've done all my work I know sometimes we have those days where we just like, fuck it. But I try to say fucking lesson, get the work in because there's so much I want to do, man, I guess so much that like, Sometimes it's like, I don't even know where to start, but Hey, I'm organizing myself and I'm just keeping it going. but it made me want to do it more. So when I hit a certain number of likes on YouTube me and wife, we went to the restaurant Another reward. When I finished my season was having to get together with my family and friends to celebrate. I got to do that take a vacation, go to go, have a spa day, go chill with your family, go play ball whatever you want to do, you do it. For reaching your goals. Not too many people do it. Yo a lot of people that they will talk in that hot shit like Nelly and they still in the same situation because they didn't follow through. They didn't, I feel like some people don't make it serious enough and his shows and not to discredit those people. We don't want to be, we don't want to mimic the actions of those people. We want to mimic the actions of people that that'd be how we aspire to be. Ain't nothing wrong with that, man. Yeah, man. But not having goals, man is a no go. if you notice, man, everything has Everything has a goal, including your TV shows, think about it, right. They're able to put everything they want in an episode of 20 to 30 minutes. Either to leave you wanting more or leave you okay until they figure some other shit out. work school everything has a certain goal that has to be reached in order to move forward. Like it's all around you. It makes the process simple. If you find your purpose and let say something, it might change from time to time, but doing something that you love and believe in. Just makes the process a little bit simpler. Like when you know that you want to be successful but like knowing what you need to do, that you're willing to put up with whatever. To get it. And there's a lot of things that are going to come into place. Cause I was, I've been able to overcome fear, but sometimes, it's finds a way to sneak back and this time I'm just like Hey, why not? Let me just follow the same process that got me here the first time. And if that doesn't work, I'll find another process. I'm not the best at everything, but I give my best at everything. as long as you do that, you good but try different things. That you always that like speak to your soul that speak to your gut. Like don't lie to yourself. If music talks to you doesn't mean you have to be a multi-platinum singer. You can find ways in the music industry to do what you love. There's so many different opportunities in a particular field, right? So if you want it to be like law enforcement, you don't only have to be a cop. You can be in forensics, let's say you wanted to be a ballplayer, you could be a referee, you could be a sports and Liz, you could be a manager. I bet, there's different ways to flip the purpose to flip the goals. You just want to get to that destination. That's the whole point of it. after this whole episode of used to ask him, Ray, but how can I achieved this goals. Listen, nothing's going to happen until you decide that you're going to make it happen. Just like the same way, right? Like when you hungry, you're going to find a way to eat. When you're thirsty, you're going to find a way to drink when you're ready to make things happen for real, you'll set the goals. You read what you have to read, What you have to fear will be brave when you have to be brave face. What you got to face he'll hurt. Be happy. But most importantly, move forward. And this is a tool that can help you get to where you need to be. Man. Like I know you'd be tired of talking all that shit and then not having nothing to back it up because you didn't write it down. You didn't take it serious enough, but it's not too late. You're the Colonel got your, the Colonel trial, like a million. And I'm talking about Colonel Sanders, KFC. Tried a million different things. He tried a whole bunch of different businesses and they failed and his chicken recipe got branded. And if you haven't had a bucket of extra crispy you must live somewhere where they don't where they don't sell it. Yeah, man. But yeah, I hope I convinced you to want to really write your goals down and make them just happen back. Cause I'm telling you it's a fucking game changer, man. It's a fucking game changer. Fucking Corona guidelines in sports. That's what the fuck it is, but anyway, man yeah, Matt has had some, my final thought so I can wrap that shit up. B. I really love and appreciate feedback. any good or bad, you could send me an listen to any of my podcasts or leave any feedback on the website, Which is www.theraimundoshow.com. you can reach me on social media, Twitter, Instagram, facebook@theraimundoshow.com. And if you want to be part of the history, you can donate on PayPal cash app, Venmo, anywhere with money and help is accepted. Appreciate you. What ways? Mundo? Raymundo's final. Say striving is better than the surviving and having goals is better than not having goals helps you lock in and prioritize what you need to do to get shit done when you accomplish your goals. You tell the universe that you're going to do, what you set out to do. And it gives you this out of this world, feeling that's as satisfying as pop, and bubble wrap, without goals, soccer games will be a bunch of people running up and down the field. Until the time expires necessity is the mother of invention goals are the foundation of accomplishments. Overall, a way to make things better goals, make your path clearer on your way to where you need to be. What's a way you want to be. The choice is yours. Yeah, but there's been another great episode. I want to thank you once again, tune in next week. Peace, love Mundo out, out, out, out, out.
